A história deste destemido clérigo começa no seu nascimento. Seus pais o
abandonaram recém-nascido no templo de [[Helm]] na cidade de [[Baldur's Gate]], no
ano de 1355 DR. Lá ele fora criado pelos religiosos e desde muito cedo
instruído na fé do Grande Protetor Helm (The Vigilant One).


O tempo foi passando e Malark foi notando que não era um ser humano comum.
Gorstag Ironwill foi tutor de Malark, criando-o como a um filho e lhe ensinando os caminhos dentro da fé em Helm. Atualmente vive em Baldur´s Gate esperando o contato de seu tutelado com novidades sobre sua missão.
Seus olhos dourados eram um primeiro indício de sua ascendência não humana, e
isso o deixava sempre curioso em saber como seriam seus pais. Seu tutor no templo,
[[Gorstag]], sempre cuidou de Malark como a um filho, tornando a aceitação deste pelos
demais irmãos mais simples, mas nunca esclareceu a sua real ascendência.
 
Seu desenvolvimento dentro do templo sempre fora exemplar, trazendo orgulho a
seu tutor e com isso atraindo a atenção e respeito dos demais helmitas. Com o
tempo ele foi subindo até que conseguiu seu título de clérigo e sua primeira missão,
por sinal nada fácil. Fora enviado a cidade de [[Daggerford]] para tentar incluir Helm
entre as divindades presentes na cidade, ampliando a área de ação da fé no grande
protetor.
 
Mesmo agora Malark ainda tem dúvidas sobre seu passado. O que ele realmente é ?
Quem são seus pais e por que o deixaram no templo sem explicação alguma ? De qualquer
maneira Malark se dedica intensamente a sua religião, sempre pronto a proteger os
fracos, os necessitados, quem requisitar, e levar a fé em Helm a todos os cantos de
Faerun.
